For ages it has been believed that an ancient Phoenician, Cadmus, invented the first alphabet about 1600 B.C. But recently several discoveries have been made indicating that the alphabet might actually be thousands of years older than we had ever suspected. This section will explore the possibility that the alphabetic characters themselves might have had their origin in Atlantis.
